本剧讲述了由几个普通居民组成的“劝和小组”，帮助其他居民走出困境的故事。这些故事中有夫妻感情不和的家庭矛盾，也有鸡毛蒜皮的邻里冲突。而小组成员中不仅有“富二代”，也有寂寞留守的空巢老人。“劝和小组”因为一起跳楼事件而走到一起，在帮助别人、协同劝和的过程中，他们自己的种种问题也得到了解决。
