《神医大道公》是以保生大帝的故事为题材创作的大型古装神话喜剧，是第一部展现保生大帝故事的电视剧。本剧是两岸第一部正式合拍的电视剧，两岸正式开放影视合作政策之后。第一部与台湾合作的电视剧，同时这也是台湾主流电视台第一次以预购版权的方式参与两岸电视剧的合作，开创了两岸戏剧合作的新模式。
