上世纪三十年代初，位于上海郊区的苏宅有人登门，求购苏家的家传古董——宋代瓷枕，苏老爷严辞拒绝，并砸碎瓷枕以示决绝。女儿苏桃出来收拾，却意外在碎瓷中发现一枚精巧的铜镜。她一时好奇将铜镜拿回阁楼把玩，不料却由此引发一系列诡异离奇之事。
沉香（曹骏 饰）和父亲刘彦昌（刘小锋 饰）生活在一个小镇上。一日，沉香忽然发现自己身上具有“法力”，能够穿墙而过。沉香的法力引来了二郎神（焦恩俊 饰）和哮天犬（陈创 饰）。刘彦昌不得已将真情全部告诉了沉香。原来当年他的母亲三圣母（朴美萱 饰）违反了天条和自己结合，现在已不知去向，而破坏这个婚姻的正是他舅舅二郎神。
