影片讲述香港发生了多起离奇命案，死者均有大量失血的症状。作家阿祖（<李灿森饰）与记者疱疹（<林晓峰饰）是一对好友，分别因挖掘创作灵感和找寻新闻素材而对这些案件产生了兴趣，而祖的印尼网友王茵（<胡杏儿饰）是一名灵学专家，得知此案后认为事情并不简单，遂赴港与阿祖及疱疹联手调查。三人经过深入调查，发现原来是细菌在作祟，在印尼有一种千年古木，其中寄生着一种真菌，人们将这种木头制成棺材后，死人的尸体就会被真菌控制，成为丧尸。而这种木头日前流入了香港。多起命案均是丧尸所为，而丧尸生前的妻子（<汤盈盈饰）为了不让丈夫离开自己，也助纣为虐，以美色诱惑猎物上钩，成为丈夫的腹中之物。祖等三人得知原委后准备阻止丧尸继续害人，一场人尸大战就此展开
