贾寨与张寨一直以来相互争强互不相让，抗战时期两寨因日军的侵入团结一致。由于汉奸张兆银事先做好准备，龟田率领的日军轻易入驻两寨。他们建炮楼，搜刮两寨粮食，害死贾文坡及荷花，龟田还要强娶贾文锦新婚妻子张玉仙。贾文锦与张兆喜从国军战场溃败后得知日军作为，无比愤怒但又对国军失望，于是组建了白马团黑马团抗日武装。已在八路军中当上文工团团长的贾文柏奉命回村侦察敌情发展敌后武装。于是贾文柏整合了贾文锦的抗日武装和贾文灿的别动队，他们与维和会长贾文清里应外合打击敌人。在一次重要行动中，贾文清牺牲，张兆喜因贾文灿的叛变而身亡。受贾文柏感染，贾文锦同白马团黑马团成员加入八路军，他们最终端掉炮楼打败日军赢得了胜利。
