面对种种悬念，《丑女大翻身》剧组成员依旧保持着以往一贯的神秘态度，纷纷表示自己尚未看到全部剧本，对结局毫不知情。此时，美版《丑女贝蒂》却在10月16日播出，首集长达2小时。这部一度陷入“限播令”的美剧将播出时间一推再推，终于在万众期待下登录荧屏，却“十分巧合”地成了《丑女大翻身》的剧透参考——与正式开机的《丑女大翻身》相隔只差一个星期。
