According to Quanzhou government records, Qingyuan Mountain was first developed in the Qin Dynasty. In the Tang Dynasty, "Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism" competed for land occupation and management. It had traces of Islam, Manichaeism and Hinduism and gradually developed into a famous cultural mountain with various religions. The scenic spot is full of flowing springs and waterfalls, strange rocks and caves, green peaks and trees, The cultural landscape dominated by religious temples, temples, literati academies, stone treasures, stone carvings, stone structures, stone carvings and other cultural relics is found in almost every corner of Qingyuan Mountain.
