该剧主要讲述了陆军新兵郭小明和崔犇犇经过三个月的新兵集训下连当兵的故事。原本以为脱离新兵班长牛大峰“魔爪”的二人，做梦也没想到，牛大峰依然是新连队的班长。与此同时，郭小明的暗恋对象女兵舒雅和谭小美也分到了连队所在卫生队。牛大峰与卫生队队长彭小一在地方本就是情侣，因为当兵，牛大峰主动提出了分手，可未曾想彭小一竟然也投笔从戎来到了部队。就这样，猛虎连的男兵和卫生队的女兵们，演绎出了一场场让人啼笑皆非的故事。
