《Lore》改编自2015年获奖同名热门Podcast节目，由 Aaron Mahnke 编剧，透过检视真实历史事件探索人类的黑暗本质。打着「有时真相比虚构的故事更可怕」的口号，节目中所有故事源於真实调查丶目击者报告和历史档案。从吸血鬼传说丶活尸的起源丶狼人到美国史上第一个连环杀手 H.H. Holmes 皆为《Lore》触及的题材。
